Rowena
Luke-King is committed to meeting the educational needs of disabled and disadvantaged
people and recognises that designers and students of fashion and textiles
are often dyslexic. If you are dyslexic and have chosen to study on an individual
tuition basis, you will be offered one extra four-hour lesson, free of charge,
to allow more time for preparing a curriculum vitae and/or application forms.
To qualify for this offer you will need to provide documentation to show that
you have been tested and proven to be dyslexic and take the extra lesson within
a year of starting your course.
If you live
in the United Kingdom and think that you may be dyslexic, information on testing
services can be accessed either via a Disability Employment Advisor at your
local Job Centre or by contacting the Adult Dyslexia Organisation by calling
them on their helpline 020 7924 9559 or by e-mailing them at: dyslexia.hq@dial.pipex.com
