CROCHET BAGS AND FLOWERS. If you have always wanted to learn how to crochet, this two-day workshop will be perfect for you. Starting at the beginning you will be shown how to make a chain, attach the chain at both ends with a slip stitch to make a base ring and practice 'treble crochet' and corners to make 'granny squares'. You will learn to read a 'granny square' pattern, join in different colours and once you have crocheted enough squares to make a bag you will be shown how to darn the pieces together and use 'double crochet' to make a strap. You will learn how to crochet beads and flowers with which to decorate your bag, string together to make a necklace or finish with a pin to wear as a corsage. By the end of this course you will have developed the skills required to tackle more complicated crochet patterns. No previous experience is needed.
