"Having embarked on a year out of my design degree, I worked towards completing a series of textile courses to improve my skills and explore different ways of approaching fabric design. Whilst specialising in printed textiles, I felt that embroidery was a technique that would hugely benefit my work and improve my confidence. I began Embroidery Level 1 at Central Saint Martins with Rowena in October 2009 and found the course to be extremely rewarding from the outset. The lessons were very well structured and the content excellent. Having started with very little knowlege of embroidery and being a student with dyslexia, I felt Rowenas' approach to teaching was very helpful and attentive towards my needs and I was able to learn so much more than I had expected to.
