PATTERN CUTTING & Garment Construction are an integral part of fashion design. To fully understand fashion design you need to be able to cut patterns. To understand pattern cutting you need to have a basic knowledge of garment construction. Rowena Luke-King offers Individual Tuition in both subjects and allows you to create a study program that either encompasses both disciplines or concentrates on whichever area you feel needs attention.

All levels of ability, including Absolute Beginners who have no understanding of either garment construction or pattern cutting, Beginners who are confident dressmakers wishing to extend their skills by learning how to cut patterns and students who need help Creating a Garment Collection are catered for.

If you are already competent in either garment construction and/or pattern cutting but need help with a specific cut or construction problem, you may prefer to opt for a five-hour Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction Workshop.

If you prefer to study in a group Rowena teaches Vintage Fashion Dolls and Vintage Fashion Bridalwear at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
